We're with you on the Sherwood 17000 Series problems, we've gone through 3 impellers on two engines since repower splash a year ago and about 100 hours of service. Gonna' go check out Tony's doings; thanks for tip.
Fortunately, the three times we lost one it was an easy changeout in good weather on the high seas and we had all the right kits and tools.
I was beginning to think it might be our 1-1/2" raw water intake system having too much restriction, which I'm still going to check out. We know it's marginal. Going to check it out next week. Making a gauge setup right now. Hope Tony comes up with something good.
But the good news, we've got a copy of Patrick's supersize rudders and we still make 15 cruise knots on one engine so getting home is always guaranteed.
