Outboard expenses, or not

A lot of people don't realize that many of the "professional" tourney outboard fishermen and a lot of the more prominent guides don't pay for those engines - they are furnished by the sponsoring company or dealer, sometimes the boats, also. When I was on the Yamaha guide program, they wanted you to hang a new engine on the boat every year. When you get free engines every year, fuel costs are easier to bear, and maintenance should be minimal.
