Swim Platform Dimensions?

I'm looking at various "pre-owned" teak swim platforms for a B28. What is the minimum width I should consider? I'm thinking I want it to be as close to the 11' beam dimension as possible and that anything under 9.5' would probably not look right. Thought?

(BTW, having just purchased this boat, a brand new custom platform at $1500-$2000 probably isn't going to happen.)
