When I repowered with diesels I had to restrut also[I had 1-1/4" shafts & 2 struts/shaft]. I was under the impression, at the time, that I had to rebore new 1-3/8 struts I bought from High Tide Marine for 1-1/2 shafts. That is not true. I fitted them with bearings that are built to do just that, allow a 1-1/2 shaft to run in an 1-3/8 bored strut, they make the "thickness" up[1/16"]in the wall, without sacrificing strength. Unless early 1-3/8 struts are different than the ones I bought from High Tide Marine[Buck Algonquin] get the right size bushing. The different ID's have different "fish names" also, which they are refered by, I don't remember off hand what the names were.
