I really want to see one before I fully comment. However I have an opinion at this point. I know opinions are like "backsides", and that means everyone has one.
While I am keenly aware my 31 has an unbroken sheer, I really love the rugged good looks of the aggressively broken sheer on most Bertrams. I wish they had included that in the design. It would have looked beefier. It would have looked better.
I don't like the window. Perhaps I am a traditionalist, but it is too artsy fartsy for me. I know it has a place, and light is terrifically difficult to get inside of an express boat, but it doesn't work well for me in the artists rendering. I know what is great for one guy may not be for another.
Lastly, and my biggest complaint would be the center access to the cabin with a side console steering station. God I hate that. I love a center helm. I guess you get used to a side helm, but I have never been able to. I always feel like I am driving in circles, or trying not to. It just feels more professional to have a center helm. I also like walking down into a big open cabin, and a side entrance helps the main salon look larger in an express boat.
So the side helm doesn't work for me.Hopefully she will be built Bertram, and ride Bertram. That is what matters. But I really look forward to seeing one in person.
