Yea Craig read Patrick's post under "Boat Building Tips" "High Performance Shafting" That will give you a better insight. Vic, I used to use Monel wire line foir trolling . Paid about 60-70 bucks just to load up my special Penn Wire Line trolling reel. I'm back to Dacron and Mono again. I do use Monel stapels for all my under seat uplostry repair. I detest rust . Always have. Seen too much of it when my Daddy worked for Hanna Mining Company, now defunct.This working on the boat all the time is getting old fast. I'm ready to go fishing soon although so far so good. I just keep dishing out the money and the delivery man keeps giving me marine parts. They love me ! Dave K
