I would be very careful. I was scheduled to go a couple of years ago and called the Coast Guard in Key West who were very helpful and told me exactly how to do it legally. At that time you could just go out of Key West direct and return there. I also talked with my Senator's office ( Jesse Helms at the time) and they were helpful also, though not encouraging. I know the rule are enforced more strictly now and I would do my homework carefully. I would not go without some sort of U.S. permission since you may need Uncle Sam if something goes wrong in Cuba. Graet Place however and very nice people. I want to go back ASAP.
