Hi Gerard, my cousin had two 26' Bertram Mopies, one powered with Merc 165 and the other straight six Volvos. He repowered the one with the Volvos with two 225 Johnsons, the boat ran very well and I believe toped out at 55 mph. The engines were on a B-Bracket, and the weight distribution did not seem to be altered much at all. as expected docking and manoeuvring around fish was not as good as before but still not bad. I hope this helps
