Bruce, I thought maybe, since it's sold by Glacier Bay, maybe it's designed to run in bays where there are glaciers! Several years ago, we had a charter where the Ac quit just past the jetties (airlock in the water intake hose, but the skipper was looking for an excuse to cancel due to the seas). Captain told the party if they let him turn around now, it won't cost them anything. They were ready to vote to go home, when this big SOB jumps up and yells, "The Goddamn Vikings didn't have any frigging air conditioners!" That made them all feel like wimps, so they voted to keep going. The "Viking" later took me aside and offered me a big tip if I could fix the AC. I did, and we had a great trip. Only later did I realize that the Goddamn Vikings sailed the North Atlantic, they didn't need no frigging air conditioners!
