struts

capt.pat or who ever
i am going to up grade to diesels so i need
1 1/2" shafts.i now have 1 3/8"shafts.can i just drill out my old struts ,or do i have to get new ones???for the 1 1/2"shafts? will there be enough metal left if i drill -em out?
