We repowered with 6BTA 300hp Cummins two seasons ago and couldn't be happier. Only comparison is from the numbers UV says he gets from his 250hp 6BTA's. Our speed is identical to UV's but with our 2800 rpm we can hi cruise at 2600 and get about 26.5-27knts at 2600. We are way under propped spinning 3000 WOT. Seems like pretty much everyone has linear speed vs rpm with these Cummins. We run from 4am, out 65 miles, troll to 4pm and haul home from about 70-80 miles. Usual canyon trip is 110-120 gallons.
