Dave,
Try using a lenght of #19 leader wire with wooden handles wrapped around on each end. With a sawing motion start at rear of the tank and work forward.Use wedges under the rear end of tank to get it up a little. I removed my 1961 express tank that way. If it's the original tank theres foam between the hull and tank. It's a two man job, I didn't remove the forward bulkhead, just take your time. Call me on 561-310-7179 cell if you want to talk, I've had mine for 27 years.
