Jim - I had checked the foam and it was dry as far as I could tell. The rotten balsa core in the transom was replaced with plywood and glassed good. Cause of that appeared to be a cracked transom ring on the outdrive which was replaced. I'm wondering if having her hung up in my boathouse slings for a couple of years could have put pressure crossways on the deck and the foam, causing it to buckle up? The aft sling hit the chine about a foot forward of the rear deck. The slings are about 8" wide, so would have spread the load some, but there would still have been some inward force. The original owner I got her from kept her on slings for years too.

Did you get my message about removing the Poly Glow with ammonia? Gimme an email if not. I'll be here til tomorrow morning, then heading to California for the week.
