Dave-

I've been checking out headliners for a few months now. Seems as most have done away with the 1/4" plywood backing and then a fabric on the wood. I talked to the guys over at Jersey Cape and Out Island and they use what seems to be a tongue and groove setup with just the fabric. Each panel is about 12" wide and can be removed one section at a time to gain access or if there is ever a section that need replaced. I have to get more details but the finishing around the edges is what helps hide the ends of each panel.

I'm thinking of doing that type of liner in the V berth area but using the traditional 1/4" backing for the cabin area so there can be a removable hatch for access to where all the wiring to the bridge would be, and the electronics interfacing.

Don't know of any specific places that carry the headliner but I do have a few connections I can call up. Probably not unrealistic to give Bertram a call and get the fabric from them as well.
