Not very likely.
The small solid state amplifier that powers the speaker draws in the milli amps of power. It doesn't change much with a higher gain on that low power amp.

A function that will drain a battery quicker is the scan mode.

Loudness in those little speakers leads to distortion and possible speaker damping problems from over extending the cone throw.
