Algae X system

I installed new aluminum fuel tank 2 years ago during repower to Cummins 6bta 270's. It has been suggested that I should put in the Algae X filter system because of aluminum tank. If so can I use the LG-X 200 or 400 with this engine. Thanks for any comments.
