cockpit makeover

Capt. Pat,

gearing up to replace strut backing on 77' model 31 and have noticed that they carry all the way back toward the transom also being the backing for the rudders. (unlike the two piece setup as shown in your building tips). Is this a stock setup from Bertram or would they have been upgraded before? Bewildered, Dave
