FAITHFUL, an update from Guam. Life continues well, getting adjusted. Had a 6.0 earthquake yesterday. No damage, no injuries, but was a real suprise while out jogging and the ground starts rocking. Amazing stuff!! Have not been out fishing yet, still trying to get my house setup with basic kitchen, bedroom, etc. Not sure how many of you have had to physically move from home to home, but for me, this is my 19th move. Left most of my goods back in CONUS. Only came with the essentials. I have quickly realized that my Gulf of Mexico bottom fishing rigs will not cut it here. Already purchased 2 30 and 1 50 Penn international reels with some nice looking rods. Found a guy who was stationed here in Guam for 5 years, got out and started his own custom rod making business. Had 2 30-60 class standup trolling rods sent to me and FATITHFUL, they are the most incredibly built rods I have ever seen. $125 each. Phenominal quality and I will not hesitate to order all my future rods from him. On Ebay he is pinnacle_marine I usually do not like recommending service/merchandise, but I have broken my golden rule once, Carl of Elite Marine and now I will do it one more time. For the money, I do not think you will find a better made rod. As luck would have it, the military base rents out 20ft Boston Whalers, so I am getting ready to put them to good use. Weather right now is a key factor. Somedays, not a breeze, next day damn near tropical storm. Nice thing though, go out about a mile or two, drop the artificials and prepare for heavy rolls. Well enough for now, as if I have not already bored you all to death. Internet comes and goes here in Guam, but trust me I cherish the time I can get on and read what the FAITHFUL is doing. I will keep you posted on GUAM action :-) Adios amigos. r/ Roland
