Tank Cleaning (Take 2)

The last posting is way down on the posting list so thought I'd start fresh.( Tank Cleaning)

We were talking about the ethenol in the gas cleaning the crude in the tanks. Now it was mentioned about using Racors to remove crude in the the fuel, my fuel is tainted and smells like sh&&%(#!!t. I can't see the Racors or any other filter removing contaminents from solution, or am I wrong. I don't care about losing the 100+ gallons of fuel or paying several hunderd to get it carted away, but...

Anyway Racors much better then the Mercruser style spin on's. I've heard people swear by both.
