New York is a pretty liberal state, and yet NYC keeps electing Republican mayors, and NYS keeps going for a Republican governor.

That's because New Yorkers aren't particularly party oriented. We actually tend to vote for the people who we think will do the best job for us.

We aren't always right.... just look at our senators.... but we're trying. The thing with senators, of course, is that seniority counts for a lot. Once you get one, you kind of want to keep them going. Perhaps that's why fat teddy is still there.

Or are you taxachusettes folk really that crazy....?
