Answer, I don't know if its dirty or not. Fuel looks tainted and is gumming up the plugs, valves and coating the carb and intake with a tar like residue. I am in the belief that the alcohol content of the gas up here in NYC is acting as a solvent and washing/dissolving the 40+ years of residue from the tank walls.
Boat don't run on that gas anyplace but dockside, yet when I use portable tanks she runs just fine. Don't think I want to try the gas in the family fleet of vehicles. I'll pay to have the 2.79/gal fuel removed.
Any other thoughts out there?
