In Response To: fuel tank cleaning (Fred Definis)

Is the tank dirty inside?, it might not be. I bought a $20 man. fuel pump from Northern, attached a short piece of fuel proof tubing to the pick-up and pumped about 20 gallons in to 6 gal. fuel cans. That fuel was put through a simple fuel filter into my truck, it ran great. The boat was out of the water so with approx.15' of 1/2"tubing I syphoned the last gallon or or 2 out of the tank. It's not difficult, don't need electric and I don't smoke. I hate throughing fuel away and I'm familiar with a large outfit that does that work , They do the same thing I did and charge you.
