Walt - nope, i'm from Philly - living in CT cause my work is here, and keep the boat in Avalon NJ (near Cape May).

Capt Pat, Bruce - thanks for the feedback - from talking to the guy these seemed like the real deal... Bruce, the noise is not horrible - but in the cockpit when underway - its certainly there. kind of a low rumbling roar - distinctly different from rattling hatches or the regular engine noise that comes from under engine hatches. Realistically though, no one is really in the cockpit when we're running - so i may think this over again - would be an interesting conversation with the bride though - trying to explain to her, the difference between engine noise and exhaust noise...she can make some good faces, and i'm sure i'd get them all

...anyway - good to know these things are top notch - looks like a great idea and will consider them when the time comes to do the work under the deck.
