Joe,

Marine Exhaust Systems is one block over from my shop... All of their work is first class.

When I moved in here over 14 years ago, Woody, (the owner of MES), was working in about 2,000 sq ft of space and doing primarily custom exhaust systems for individual boat owners, captains, and jobbing for some of the big diesel mechanic shops. Those were days that you could walk into the door and get a little job done for an affordable price.

Those days are relatively long gone. Most of their work now goes as OEM standardized equipment to companies like Landerweir, Fedship, Ferreti, Hatteras, & etc. Woody now has two plant locations in the immediate area that probably stack up to over 10,000 sq ft. With that comes more staff, secretaries, computer programmers, and all else associated with a very large overhead.

Woody's sh*t IS good, he's proud of it, and you will pay top dollar to have his decal lurking within your boat. Not knocking him at all, I'd be charging the same price were I in his shoes, I'm sure.

Best regards,

Patrick
