Mike,
Although I have bought most everything that Cabrera has to offer I have not yet completed the installation. However in the process of investigating them I found that they have in the past or are currently working on all manner of B31's so I would venture to guess that they have probably done an installation on a 31 of your vintage. If not they may still know the answer to your question. Call them and speak to Conchita unless your Spanish is good. Mr. Cabrera speaks no English.
If you buy from them and have them install the piping and sending units be sure that they don't let Cabrera Jr. do the installation. He made a big mistake on mine which I have been promised restitution but I am still waiting. In that vein the proper way to cut a hole in a fibreglass tank is to put it on saw horses with the surface to be cut on the bottom so that when you cut all the shavings stay around the cut and don't fall into the tank to be fished out later. Once the cut is made reach inside and wipe around the hole and your done. Cleaver, huh? Mr C Sr. knows this but apparently Jr. didn't. Caused me hours of unnecessary work. The tak is beautiful and I am close to installation time. Between the crappy weather and working for a living I haven't gotten to it. When I win the lottery in the morning I will be on it and let you know how it came out.
Mikey
