Did mine last year. The wood was real soft and it was clear that the prior owner had previously "flipped" the wood shelf when they some sort of half baked prior rebuild. Not real tough to do. I used 1/2 ply wrapped in fiberglass and tabbed into the stringer with more fiberglass. Bought the bearings at Granger. I have seen some done with just bushing, but I went back with bearings.
