One (of many) of the ideas under consideration (assuming my re-power is done, a big "if") would be to avoid the bridges and tows on the ICW and run to green canyon (190 n.m), spend the night bailing huge yellow fin tuna at the rigs, tag a couple bill's in the morning, and then run over to Port Eads (140 n.m. or so). Obviously, the weather would have to be just right, as it was during last year on the trip over.
Having done the ICW twice now, I was just toying with something alittle different to spice things up. If this plan come together, it kills two birds- tuna steaks for the whole crowd at the dock and couple more hours of fishing where they live on the way to the event.
Brian B suggested this plan a couple years ago, and Mike Holmes' recent article inspired me to consider: What would Papa H. do if he had a Bertram and an invite to the UVI? Run the ICW with the bubble boats and pontoon cruisers or bet the whole wad on a new adventure of a lifetime?
