Patrick, thanks so much for your help,what you said makes lots of sense! yes when I removed the struts, there were what looked like layers of angled formica as shims, that has been chucked and bottom has been totally stripped and all blisters repaired I will go ahead and glass shaft logs as recommeded in this reverse fashion. As Always your help is appreciated. I hope to get Vics outriggers to him this week as he will make a donation to the best site on the www. See Ya, D.D.
