Scott,

The B31's 35 kt hull speed, (as I relate to & harp on it), has only to do with how fast SAFELY the boat can be operated...

There are several examples of B31's being pushed to over 45 kts, so yes the capacity for faster speeds are do-able, but at a very big price ecconomically and potentially a very big price in liability.

Above 35 kts, the B31 is far too high out of the water and subject to falling over onto the chine. Should that happen there's going to be one very breath taking course change, and the results may not be pretty...

There's already been a well documented case of the above scenerio.
