I know, I know, I hereby repent from my near sin. It will have as many coats of shiny AwlSpar on it as Snow can do, and it will be a lot. Just got thru using the teak bleach on it, and really zapped it up. Now for some sanding tomorrow, take it back to about 220, then the real fun will begin.
Not a soul in this city ever heard of AwlSpar or a badger hair brush, so called my place in New Orleans, Sea Chest. No problem, it's all on the way. Called His Honor in Galveston this morning to find out what thinner to use on the first coat, since Sea Chest said The Brown Truck would charge me a small fortune to ship the "HazMat" thinner. He answered the phone in his chambers and the first words outta his mouth were "YOU WHIMP! DO THE VARNISH, NOT THE OIL" I told him I had already repented, but he continued to berate me, a scolding I surely deserved.
Anyway, it's deep AwlSpar, what else could grace the Best Boat Ever Built?
UV, the now pure of heart.
