godfrey zincs work really well

I attend the Boston Boat Show every year. Small show by standards, but entertaining in the middle of february...
New England Propeller always is there, just to the left of the entrance, and they always display props, spurzz and a line of zincs by a company called Godfrey. They are godawfully expensive, but have a bronze core. Last year I decided to try a set.
Results were astounding.
I have always put double 3/8 collars on my shafts, and neither have ever made it past mid-August. This year I put one godfrey and one martyr on each shaft. The martyr fell off mid season, and the Godfrey is about half gone, but because the attaching screws are set in the copper not the zinc, the zinc is still holding strong, with full original contact. Amazing.
There is no visible electrolitic damage to the shaft or the prop on either side. In fact it all looks clean as a whistle (likely the result of 110 hours of running this summer! I love my Yanmars!!!).
Needless to say, I will be going with the Godfrey's every year from now on. They can be found at H & H propeller (Hhprop.com) and New Englad Propeller (neprop.com).
Needless to say I will not be buying martyr anymore...
