As I understand it, the main purpose of the hull was to be used as a single-shot cannon boat during the Israile (sp?) war. Most of them were built with a cannon mounted on the bow--was why they were flat there. I've heard that they were actually single USE as well!! There were only 11 sold to the public. In fact, I'm going over to dinner at the home of one of the 11 tonight. They have owned it since NEW. He's a previous employer. BEAUTIFUL boat. Absolute sex on the water. The Long-stroke engines last for EVER.
