Tommy,
No gratuity.
Its very rare to get tips in this business because everyone thinks they are being raped anyways.

I can't blame the owners, this industry is full of theives. I know how I would feel if I had spent 4k on a problem and it was never fixed.
Heck I got pissed at the bike shop when they charged me 75 bucks for fixin a problem that was still there.

A doctor once told me he was going to quick practicing and become a marine mechanic because of what we charged.

I proceeded to tell him:

1. No mechanics I knew owned a 500k yacht like he did.
2. No doctors lived in my neighborhood or anywhere near it.
3. If they'd kill all the trial lawyers, they could afford the malpractice premiums.

Interesting thing has happened. In the 80's, MD's were my high income clients. Now its lawyers and dentists.

Oh well.
bruce

I forgot. Pete passed me a few extra bucks yesterday for fixin the port engine. Thanks.
