50/50 might be way too weak... Just add enough alcohol to the mixed epoxy to make it real thin, maybe 15 - 25%. Apply liberally, allow it to soak in, apply more to spots that are drying out faster. After about 10 min, wipe off all excess and let it cure over night. Be sure that the temp is above 60°. It's OK to add the full second coat even if the first coat is a bit tacky.
