Mikey,

Yes you can run 5" exhaust on your 6BTA's. Cummins dictates 6" for new engine installs & for warrantee validation...

When you sea trial the boat for the first time & check all of your performance numbers you know if there's too much back pressure or not. Odds are, it'll be fine with the 5", but if you do need to reduce back pressure, it can be done by increasing the opening size of the baffle in the muffler.
