I'm not answering for Capt.Pat, just a general note. The 6B motors have been on the market for a long long time. As Cummins worked out the bugs they changed requirements[I don't know what your exhaust req. are?]. An example of change along the way is that water intakes when the 300's were made were 1-3/4" my newer 270's required min. 2".
