If it's the original, it speaks well for Norcold.I put an AC-DC unit into my 31 Sportsfisherman last year to replace the original Icebox and am very pleased with it. If you have an express model with a stern bulkhead and head, you might want to talk to Norcold about replacing what might be needed as getting the old unit out and putting a new one in might be a problem as they are wider than your door.
Check your wiring connections too. Walter
