I know little of Blackfins, However the wood part of the stringer system in a 31 one was only to have the glass shaped around it as a form. In other words in a 31 whether the wood inside is rotted or not it doesn't matter. They get their strength from the hull itself. They are also very flexible and often, when on land, the door[if there is one] binds from hull deformation when used unlike it does in the water. I again do not know if the Blackfin shares this characteristic with the 31?
