Cool Tool

I'm in the process of removing all of the aluminum fittings from my big Release fighting chair in prep for refinishing. All of the stainless screws thru the aluminum into the teak were frozen up due to dissimilar metals corrosion. I soaked in CX, but still was worried about stripping out the #2 Phillips screw heads. Think it was Patrick that mentioned the hand impact driver tool a few months ago, so one went on my Christmas list. Santa did good, and just used it for the first time. Put a #2 phillits bit in it, set it to unscrew, and whack the top with a hammer and it turns the screw 20 degrees. A couple of whacks and the screw is loose, every time. Guess the huge force of driving the bit into the screw coupled with the twist is what does the trick. Mine is a 3/8" square drive so you can use sockets with it too. Kit came with #1 thru #4 phillips and one straight blade.
It is made by Lisle Corp. in Iowa, model #29200 and think they are about $25 for the set. Their logo looks sort of like the Leica camera logo. Damnest little tool I've ever used.
