Scott - you have to use double pole switches for starters. You will have a load wire (black) to each switch and a common neutral (white), and a crossover. The circuit logic is pretty simple if you draw it out using double pole switches. If you want the fader to fade on either switch, the on-off function of it will need to be double pole too.

Some of the elecrical gurus here will come along and elaborate. If I knw how to draw on the computer, which I can't, I could draw the circuit for you.
