Me & Snow just back from the camp. Weather 70's. Today's project was replacing the two 120v Hella 500 watt spreader lights on the back of the half tower. 10' stepladder on engine box, tied to rocket launcher and at the top, damn thing was near vertical, just reached. So I was the monkey running up and down the ladder and the Snowman was the ladder holder and tool passer. Had to ream out some holes in the new light brackets, then Tef-Gel all the fasteners, then strip all the wires (the wire stripper I bought at FLL is the cat's meow), solder the wires, coat the joint with Penetrox, do the small heat shrink, then a bigger white heat shrink over the whole she-bang. Times 2. Dangling from the top of the ladder with a propane torch doing the soldering was the real fun part. Anyway, no broken bones and the new lights work, so guess it was success. Three Alleve night for sure.
In the middle of re-doing the varnish "job" on the cockpit cocktail table that will fit on the fighting chair pedestal. The bonehead that stained and was supposed to put 6 coats of varnish did good on the color, but maybe put 2 thin coats of varnish. Snow & me are doing it right, and just put the second coat on after sanding between coats real good. It's gonna look great. Snow knows the guy that screwed up the finish and is going to invite him for an ass-whipping if I don't get at least a partial refund.
Ran the Cummins on AJ and all is in order. Andre' - RR looks fine except for the half ton of cypress needles and leaves in the cockpit, but thaat's what you get for choosing a cheap marina.
