John, with the dust nits I hads no choice but to sand. Intermediate coats were with 600G wet. Final coat was with 800G, 1500G then 2000G all done wet. Don't scrimp on the priming. If you sand through, it will telegraph to the final coat. Toplac does take time to harden up in cool temps. People who see it don't believe it is paint. They think I had the panels gelcoated & polished. It was blowing 30 kts when I was carrying the panels back to the boat. I got blown into a chain link fence & gouged one of the panels. I was able to buff it out with 3M Imperial fine cut compound. (product with the purple label). Next spring I intend to paint the galley cabinets & trim the drawers & door in teak.
I was able to pick up some 1" thick teak off ebay. That's what I am making all my molding out of.
