Mike, we rented a beach house last August for month(with the rent, I could have re-powered the boat with new BigBlocks) and the house had an induction stove. It was very nice but Maureen said she liked her natural gas sove better. It's a good thing because for $3999.US, its a lot of clams. In Steptember, we got a phone call that the stove top was cracked. Maureen said she'd pay for it but the guy never called back and I'm not one for sending over a blank check.

As for " is this a boating board?", I would say it's more than that. It gets me thru the winter and come to think of it, the whole year.
