Thanks Patrick for the quick response. No the prop was put on "Out of the box". Yes the machine shop made the coupling true to the shaft and spent a good bit of time with it. Said "If I didn't do this you would of never been able to get that coupling on" Well I did have a little trouble getting the Bronze key in the coupling . Had to take a small file on a burr in the coupling to fit. Stuck the key into the coupling and drove the shaft in that way to avoid any kind of slippage of the key. Used Tefgel on all parts. I did use the method as you described on the prop attachment. The prop came from Frankie & Jimmies in Ft. Lauderdale. M&M is not a prop shop but only a machine shop. Last time I got a prop it was out of the box OK. Time before that I had them check with prop scan to see if it fell into specs and it did. So maybe third time on a prop is my charm or demise here. It almost sounds like a very very small exhaust elbow leak or a prop running in very shallow water. All I know is something is not right. I guess if I check key again in prop, check alignment (Which should be OK since no strut was removed) Now when I had to file off a small amount on the key in the coupling it made it fit easier and not as tight as normal. Do you think that may be my problem? Dave K
