In Response To: Shaft/Vibration Question (Capt. Dave Kosh)

Dave:

Good idea to check the key. I had VERY simnilar problem a few years back...new shaft, new prop (propscanned) and had a little virbation at3200rpm (high reving volvos at the time). I piulled the boat and checked the prop...it LOOKED fine. But prop nut was king of loose when i took a wrench to it. Pulled the prop, reinstalled...problem when away...it had to be that the key was not seated correctly.
