There are some "Extreme Surf Fishermen" who don wet suits rather than waders and parkas, and swim out to rocks that would otherwise be unreachable. When hooked up with a large fish, do not hesitate to slip back into the water to fight them "on even terms". Much of this is not done during daylight hours, which makes it even more "extreme" to me. I'm led to believe this is done to catch big fish. My experience tells me a cow bass could easily puncture and tear up a wet suit unless it was beached. If beached, I would think there would be no release as the chance of survival for the fish would be nill. I'm surprised we haven't lost any of these guys. Truth be told, there's only a few of them. Wonder why? Walter
