UV's pissed

I just gotta share this with ya'll Faithful. I take care of my stepmother's money, since she's 90 and with advanced alhinziers and in a nursing home (screw the spelling, ya'll know what I mean). I have it all in a trust for her sole benefit, and one of the very minor assets is a CD in a regional bank (HIBERNIA BANK, avoid them like the plague) Well the trust had a CD in HERNIA BANK - yep, I just changed their name - and it was coming due, so the trust officer at the other bank called me to see if I wanted to roll it over at a stupid low rate. I said no, pull it out and let's put in our laddered treasury bill program with her other money. Boys, we ain't talking about a couple of dimes, serious money I'm dealing with. Well, the HERNIA BANK decided I need to bring my stepmom in personaly to cash out a 20K CD, after the trust, that actually owns the CD was unable to convince the HERNIA BANK to just send them the frickin' money. SOOOOO, UV has the power of attorney, and I had Snow haul me over to the nearest branch of the HERNIA BANK to rescue the CD, me complete with a letter on my lawyer letterhead and an origianl of my power of attorney. The "person" that attended to my business, was doing her nails, made me cool my heels for nearly an hour, then finally said they would give me my stepmother's lously 20K, but there would be a near $1,200 penalty (on a 20K CD) because we (me) was 5 days late taking it out. Not an early withdrawal, a late one. That's 5% penalty for 5 days late on their own arbitriary deadline. So anyway, I gave the little Grosbeak my business card and said have her legal dept. call me by close of business tomroow or I'm gonna sue the woo-woo out of them. No calls yet. But I will sue, take me about 8 minutes to write that lawsuit and my legal fees are cheap for my beloved Miss Eddy. What a total crap deal.
I will file every compalaint with every banking authority I know of, and I know a lot. It is pure extortion by a chicken shit bank, avoid them if you can. HIBERNIA BANK, A/K/A HERNIA BANK, OR CHICKENSHIT BANK. I am pissed.
