An aluminum tank will only last about 12 years even when cold tar coated but they can be made to fit anywhere.

A plastic tank will last a very long time. A lifetime but it must be seamless construction otherwise it will eventually leak. The disadvantage to the plastic tanks is they are not as readily available in the custom made shape for maximum capacity that you want.

Any diesel made tank has a return and that would be the way to purchase it otherwise you set yourself up for a little bit of unnecessary work to install one. As far as diagrams is concerned it's pretty simple.Any fuel tank manufacturer usually has them on their website. Also refer to the tips section on the BB home page. I believe there is a section on fuel tanks that may be helpful to you. Good luck and be safe with that gas. It's very explosive so don't cut any corners. Remember do not use Teflon tape but plumbers teflon paste. Gas and diesel will eat up teflon tape. Dave K
