Bruce,
I have four Cole-Herse buzzer/lights in my setup. Two for my fly bridge and two for the lower helm alarming low oil and overheat for each engine. So my port harness has a FB and lower helm buzzer as does my STB.Even though each port and STB harness is separate, I do get "feedback' of some kind. Like if I turn on the stb engine first, the port buzzer lights but there is not enough power to activate the buzzer. If both circuits are "on" then all lights go out and all is OK.
These switches are powered by the ignition circuit and the sending units are supposed to be open unless triggered then close to ground. It all sounds very basic, but for the life of me, I can't figure out where this "feedback" is coming from. In this scenario, it should not be coming from the sensors since they should be open and not grounded. I am not sure, but I don't think diodes would help in this situation.
Does this sound familiar?
