Dug: Mine had some hard black goo around it. I cut wood strips that fit snugly into the window channell and then tapped them out with a rubber mallet. Be careful as you can collapse the track - hence the wood to support it. I dont know where you can get the plastic slide piece, so be careful with it. I got the fuzzy felt for Mike Avery at American Marine. My frames were primed and painted with Awlgrip and still look great. Rawleigh
